Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its content and any result returned by a linked third-party tool cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other FCRA-regulated decision.
How Current Is Information
Agencies correct rolls, change portals and fees, and revise access policies. Collections can move, while digitization changes online coverage. We update content when possible, but no detail is guaranteed at a given time. Verify material facts with the office that holds the record.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing here is legal advice. We identify official sources and describe how resident records work in Des Moines, but that information cannot replace advice from a licensed attorney.
Lawful Use Only
Public access supports transparency, not harm. Never use information reached here to stalk, harass, threaten, or injure a person. Misuse may violate Washington or federal law and also breaches our Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Third-party companies power search boxes on some pages. We do not control their output, prices, or treatment of submitted data. Their results are not FCRA-compliant consumer reports.
Outbound Links
External links include assessor, recorder, election, and court systems, as well as library and archive collections. Each outside operator controls its own content, accuracy, and availability.
Records Remain With Custodians
No government roll, directory volume, court file, or vital record is hosted here. The site points to the offices, libraries, and portals that keep them. Contact the proper custodian to obtain, verify, or correct a record.
